Talking Circles

What Are Talking Circles

The talking circle is a native tradition of bringing all ages together in a quiet, respectful manner for the purposes of teaching, listening, learning, and sharing. Many native communities utilize this method as a way of providing group support for people who are dealing with issues such as addictions, violence, grief, and trauma. It is also a way to promote healing and a general sense of respect and love amongst community members.

In partnering with Generation Red Road, Five Directions is providing access to Talking Circles for anybody who feels they could benefit. Talking Circles are completely free of charge and all are welcome.

Talking Circles generally take place the first and second Thursday of the month, but for a complete schedule (and for all club events) please visit our Calendar.
